I have a 2000 Contour SVT. Runs very strong, however. Sometimes after driving far or till car is fully warmed up, if I turn it off, it won't start again untill fully cool. Unless I jump start it from rolling. Cold starts are never a problem. I took it to mechanic, he found nothing wrong, and of course I couldn't get it to do it when the car was there. Has this happen to anyone else, or does anyone have and HELP to give????

In addition, the camshaft sensor can stop working when hot, and the ECT can cause the engine to flood when hot.

Yep, the ECT made my zetec do the exact same thing. It started fine when cold, but it flooded when hot. I believe Rogerm60 was that one that alerted me to the ECT.

When the car won't start, try holding he accelerator to the floor and crank it a few times. If the ECT is faulty, holding the accelerator down should help.
