had the same thing in our 96 contour... the weather was cold(about 50 deg.), thats cold here... and the drivers door seemed like the handle was about three times as hard to pull open to get the door open... well when you pull the handle (either inside or outside) you eventually move the lock mech. on the door that hits the frame...get some WD-40 and spray it on the door lock part(the ones you can see on the end of the door... then take a rag and wipe it off.. wd-40 is not a lubricant, but it does cut the lube that is on there and will let the mech. work again... close the door and open it up a few times.. then clean the grease/wd 40 off of the lock again.. it should work alot better now...
