Will the MSDS headers fit with he stock Y-pipe and if so would a stock Ypipe with gutted cats still be a big bottle neck?

Yes - Warmonger ran his headers with an optimized stock Y pipe.
Yes - See warmongers car profile to see before and after pics of the restriction.
Do a search and optimize your stock Y pipe...its a basically free mod (if you have access to the proper tools or have friends that do) and will give you heat shielding around the oil pan which other Y-pipes will not...

It depends on where you buy them, from CTA yes from Sho-Shop no. And the price is adjusted accordingly as well

I am considering getting some MSDS Headers and some Borla mufflers. I need to keep the cat because at some point they may require emissions testing here. Are there any high flow catalytic converters?

There must be a bunch out there. But to narrow your search and focus your choices, which y pipe would you plan to use with the headers? MSDS? Stock/optimized? Sho-shop/BAT?
MSDS, SHO-shop Y, custom 2.5" catback; xcal2; 63mm TB, K&N 3530; Koni struts, Aussie bar; THaines forks, Quaife, SpecII, UR fly; DMD; Nima UD pullies; Stazi brakes; f&r Pole120 mounts. Just a daily commuter car. Silver '98 SVT E0 #3159

CTAmotorsports.com has a nice high flow unit for you. Stazi also should have a magnaflow cat that is top notch.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Is the stock SVT cat that restrictive? Can I use it? I am basically looking for a little lower tone, not quite so raspy as the stock SVT's.
