I recently installed a new DPFE sensor to resolve a CEL. The battery was disconnected for over an hour ensuring the code was erased. Two days later I took my car (E1 SVT) for a smog test, it passed all the emissions, showed no CEL's, HOWEVER ...

Catayst ................... not complete
Evaporative System .........not complete
O2 Sensor ..................not complete
O2 Sensor Heater............not complete

The smog tech told me I had not completed enough driving cycles.

Now a week later same results.

Any Ideas? (Yes I did some searching.)

How many miles did you do ? How many cycles (car on, car off is 1 cycle) did you do in that week ?

Look in your owners manual there is a drive cycle page that tell you what to do.
You have to do it a certain way and such, I hope thats what your looking for.

Over 200 miles, several short trips and six trips, 18 miles each way to work.

Thanks, Page 172 of the manual does talk about driving to prepare for an inspection. I have completed more than stated in the manual.

I have an OBD-2 scanner from www.obd-2.com and I have had it hooked up for about 5 days straight monitoring my driving, and the catalyst test and Evapoative tests are still not complete. I followed the exact steps in the link above but still same thing. I do notice that when i run a system test that the catalyst are running high, 871:1 (what ever that means). Not really sure what else to do.

Thanks guys, looks like I have some more driving to do. I'll print a copy of the link and ensure I complete all the requirements and check it with a scanner.
