OP quarterboy25 New CEG\'er Q Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 42	Everytime I'm at a stop sign or my car is stopped (while running), there is this loud rattling sound. Its not coming from the engine. It sounds like its coming from behind the dashboard. I thought that it was something in the glove compartment, but its not. The noise is coming from that area. Then at idle again can you get closer to the sound. Maybe something fell back there.... I hate rattles!!! Good luck! "Fear is the little death." Muadib.

wilfredom New CEG\'er W Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 19 Puerto Rico, caribbean	The A/C blower motor is just under the glove compatment. An easy trouble-shooting?, turn-off the ac. If the rattles go it could be the fan of the blower, if not, keep searching. I also hates rattlings...good luck

binfordtools CEG\'er B Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 85 Royal Oak, MI	I don't know how anyone could isolate just 1 rattle on a Contour! It's seems to me that they all seem to be rattle traps. I own one, my brother in law owns one, and my buddies girlfiend owns one - I have ridden in all, and they all rattle everywhere. The worst sound isn't a rattle on my car, it's the damn rear sway bar bushings in the morning. Good thing my radio works, I just crank it up and the problem is solved. But hey, don't get me wrong I love my CSVT.
