OP unibagel New CEG\'er U Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 14	Hello all I have a 1998 Contour 4 cyl Zetec with the automatic tranny. It has terrible speedometer problems as follows: -Speedo/Odometer/fuel guage work sporadically -Sometimes while driving the speedo will suddenly come back to life, the airbag warning light will shine for a few seconds. The speedo may or may not continue to work. -The cruise control is un-affected. It still works whether or not the speedo is working. Could it be the VSS??? Please help me!!! Chris in Buffalo

No. Most likely intermittent poor connection at/in instrument cluster. See this thread for possible solution click .
