Is there a way to reset my check engine light so it will go out? Just wanna make sure it wasn't a fluke. This would be on my 1996 Contour Zetec 5 speed.

Disconnect battery (negative side) for 15 minutes. Or pull the proper fuses, though I don't know which ones those are. I would suggest getting the code pulled first though. That way, if/when it comes back, it may come back as a different but related code, but having both codes will help to determine the problem easier.

Pull fuses #3 and #5 under the hood. Wait 15min. Should reset it without killing your programming on your radio :-)

I am pretty sure it's 3 and 5. You should be able to find it here on a search...
