Did all SVTs come with a power trunk release? I saw a fellow CEG'er use his factory remote to open the trunk the other day. My SVT came with an aftermarket remote w/no trunk release. If it is installed on my ride can I use an aftermarket remote to open the trunk?

AFIK, the only options offered on the SVT were sunroof, cd player, and [later] spoiler. The remote keyless entry with trunk release was standard.
Maybe grab a stock fob off ebay and have the dealer reprogram it?

Yes, all SVTs had remote trunk release factory (it came with the keyless entry system). If you have a manual for your alarm, or can find one online, look up and see if there's a way to do it from your remote. For example, if my dealer-installed keyless entry had the remote trunk, then pressing/holding the unlock button on the remote would have activated it. Perhaps it's a similar design with your remote. There is also a possibility that the factory release solenoid was never hooked up to your aftermarket alarm, and so you'd need a factory keyless-entry remote to use that feature, lol

I installed a Ford keyless entry kit in my SE. It would unlock my trunk if I had an actuator. According to the instructions, I would just have to press the unlock button twice in rapid succession to pop the trunk. Try that.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Don't know why, but my SVT doesnt. I have the keyless entry with the trunk button, and i can hear the relay click when i hit the button but no progress. I checked the trunk and im missing the mechanical opener switch thingy.

Maybe the trunk release solenoid is shot. Go to a local car stereo shop and pick one up. I think that it should be less then $50.00 assuming that it is the actulator. If your aftermarket key fob has an auxilary channel then you can hook up your trunk release to that channel.
