I am trying to get my car inspected and it showed code p0174, so I started with a new fuel filter. Then I cleaned the throtle body with a spray can of throtle body cleaner. Now the car takes a few seconds when I stop to lower its RPM's. The rpm's will stay at about 1200 for about 2-3 seconds and then fall down to the normal 700-800 range. Also now the engine has a noticable lag when I hit the gas while reving it. Its a 96 v-6 mtx, with about 80,000 miles. I changed the 02 sensors about 6 months ago. Should I pull the upper intake and clean? I am planning on changing the plugs and wires in a few weeks but need to get the car inspected in the next few days so I would like to fix the problem first. Thanks for the help!

Do the UIM/LIM rebuild. Fuel Press reg PCV, plugs & wires. Just do all that. Something will make it go away. I am kinda dealing with the same thing right now.
