We want to get our daughter a spoiler. Can anyone tell me how to find the exact color name of her 95 contour? I didn't know if it was in the VIN# or what. It's kind of a red with an almost berry cast to it. I'm thinking maybe Toreador Red? Thanks.

It is possible to find out from the VIN number, but there were only a couple red colors offered in the 1995 model year (breaks out '95 brochure). Electric Red is the normal red color. Coral Mist is a salmon flesh type color. Midnight Red is really dark red, could be mistaken for black in a bad picture. Those were the only reds offered in 1995. Toreador Red, I think, is a '98+ color. My guess is that it is Electric Red, since you didn't say it was dark. Hope that helps.

Nope, it's not dark at all, kind of bright. The 16 year old really likes it cause it isn't regular fire engine red. Thanks.

Should be Electric red then, since according to the brochure, there weren't any other reds offered. I don't know of any color changes mid-model year either, but someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Color Codes are on the Driver's Side Door. Open the door and look on the edge towards the bottom. There will be a code for every color on the car. You're looking for "Body". Once you get that code you can usually get the name pretty easily by typing it in a search engine, or running a search on the 2 aftermarket touch-up paint makers sites -- DupliColor or PlastiKote.

Ditto. Look for the color code in the door sill.

Would you like some pilaf with that?

BTW, in the movie The Others, it turns out that the mother, played by Nicole Kidman, and her two children, are ghosts having died when the mother went mad, killed the two children, and then killed herself; and the beings who are ??haunting? their house are living persons.  The new servants ?? who showed up near the beginning of the movie ?? are also ghosts.  There's a better spoiler than what you were thinking of getting; this one won't turn anyone's car into a ridiculous laughingstock.

Without all the sarcasm contained in the previous post, here is a link to where you can get a factory style spoiler.......

Spoiler

And just like everyone said, the color code is on the door.
Mike

And here's a linky to Duplicolor's website with the '95 Contour color codes.........Color codes

P.S. There are no stupid questions here.....

Thanks for all the help, and yes she wants a factory type spoiler, not one of the huge ones. But you know what opinions are like, and everyone does have one. That's cool.
