I ran the bottle with about 70k on my car. It all depends on the maintenance of the vehicle. Just like anything. If its been taking care of, throw it on there. Just make sure you do your homework. There is tons of information out there.

i have a zex universal v6 kit. i ran the 75 shot and blew up my motor. i used autolite plugs 2 degrees colder like the kit asked. theres no way to retard your ignition without a chip i guess so i was kinda screwed. i wouldnt do it without a chip. you can make your own kit bottle solenoid lines ect for less that 300 bux. mix an match from ebay and get a chip for like 250 thats less than what i paid for the zex guage remote and purge. i suggest getting a chip if your wanting the bottle. for safetys sake.

In stock form a car that's up to par maintenance wise should handle a 50 horse shot with no problems. At 75 horse shot I'd start thinking about forged internals among other things. The biggest thing to worry about is burning a hole through your pistons, and make sure you have a free flowing exhaust at least something better than stock.

86k miles on a Zetec running a 75HP shot. No problems yet. Just keep an eye and ear on the engine. Take safety precautions, like a window switch and a fuel pressure switch (and maybe a nitrous line filter). Go two steps colder on plugs. Retard ignition atleast 2 degrees, I did 4. Run a higher octane gas, don't just add octane booster from the store. Make sure your fuel system is up to par. Check compression, and do it often. Get a book and read about it.
I'll be the one to say it, its not NOS, its N2O or nitrous. NOS is a brand, it stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems.

OK..Nitrous has been getting a bad rap for years. Usually for every 75ish HP of N2O you run...you pull timing.....but it can be done without pulling timing...just have to be careful. Its like everything else....no such thing as free HP and people get HP addicted and keep adding more and more and eventually you melt things down due to preignition.....or a lean out situation......
People suck.
Rev it till it MELTS.....

Be overcareful when using nitrous with any Contour engine, as both the Duratec and Zetec use hyperutectic pistons, and they will shatter easily under nitrous detonations. A 125HP shot with no tuning is not the best idea, its just taking to much of a chance, sooner or later odds are something will go wrong. I'm careful with my Zetec and I know I can replace the whole damn motor for $300 or less. Also, taking the time to really tune for nitrous allows you to get the most from your nitrous setup.
