I was damn bored, and it was nice out, so I decided to drive around HWY100 for a while. It is always entertaining seeing what the ricers are up to.

I did see some brunette hottie driving a black Contour with limo tint. She was sitting on the median trying to turn so I didn't get a good look at the 'tour. I think it was just an SE not a SVT.

I have got to get rid of my CTA!! I put in two digital thermometers late last summer to check my intake temp. The outside air temp averaged 67-69 degrees. The intake temp never dropped below 85 and it would hover around 125 at stop lights. My little Zetec was just dying with all of the stop and go. I was heading home and the temp peaked at 135. I took off from a light and it was just plain sad. It would be interesting to see if there is any spark advance when the PCM thinks it is 135 degrees out.

Later,
Ben

The black tour is always on hwy 100 . She must spend $ 25.00 a nite on gas . Not many contours on hwy 100.

Oh really?!? Ahhh what am I thinking, she's probably 10 years younger than me. (I just turned 27. )

Yeah, I was hoping to see a couple more. I think I was just making the ricers nervous. My Tan GL on black steelies looks like an unmarked Crown Vic.

I've been wondering if there is some insulating wrap, or some such thing, that I could use on my CTA to help lower the temp of the air going into the engine.

I don't think that wrapping it would help much. As long as the air filter is under the hood, it will always pull in hot engine air. I'm currently working on building a CAI to replace the CTA. I'm going to run the piping into the fender, but first I have to move my battery to my trunk.

I try not to cruise hwy unless I need something out there. I don't need a ticket from a cop that thinks I'm just some punk teenager.

Hwy 100, wow the memories... about 3 years ago i was the only one with a setup contour, for a 1 or so i would cruise, with cougars and probes, but sick of being the only contour so i stopped, now my car is old and has a broken 3rd synch so i just drive normal now.. lol...
