I just got my car back from having a new clutch installed and I went to put the fan on and i noticed that it was coming up from the defrost....so then i turned the knob and same thing through the defrost. no matter what setting it was on it was still coming out the defrost. The one strange thing is that if i did move it to the defrost or as settings i did hear the compressor kicking in.

Look under the dash next to the drivers right leg and you will see a linkage that has probably become disconnected. Turn the selector knob while looking under the dash and you will see the valve and the linkage. Just hook the linkage back up and you are good to go! Good luck!
