Well the last couple weeks haven't been the best for my car (98 Mystique LS). Somebody backed into it in a parking lot, hit the backside passenger door and left a hefty dent below the door ding guard. They also left a nice scratch the whole way across.

About a week later I was parked downtown and came back to the car only to find a large dent about the size of a basketball on the same door. It was right below the window.

I took the door panel off and popped them both out as best I could, however now there is a quite obvious crease in the metal.

So my question is what is my best motive of repairing this? I can post a picture if neccessary.

Would it be easier to take it in to the body shop? Or should I look around at some local junk yards for a replacement door.

If I were to do this I would need it to be black. Also, do you think it would be possible to remove the window as it has an aftermarket tint, and then reinstall it on the new door? Or would that be too much trouble?

I'm just trying to weigh my options here, as I don't have the money to dish out a quick repair.

If the junk yard is the way to go, does anyone have any experience with any in the Ottawa area? I am located in Orleans.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Try posting a picture so we know better how to offer advise. That said if you can do the prep yourself. Most body shops are pretty cheap and quick with the paint gun.

Get a few estimates. If you were in the Toronto area I could help you out, but shop around it shouldn't be that expensive.
