I bought a used clock light bulb from a junk yard today. I tryed installing it but it still won't light up. The clock still works but no light. The bulb looks good unlike my old one. I turned it into different positions to see if it worked every which way, or there was a sweet spot, but nothing. Any tips? I'm gonna have my dad take a look at it tomorrow, hopefully its just something dumb. Just looking for advice. Thanks.

Do you have a tester to check if the bulb is good? A bulb can look just fine and not be OK.

you are probably better off going to a dealer and spending $5 on a new bulb. At least you will know that the bulb will last.

The bulbs are probably cheaper somewhere like Advance Auto. Just take your old bulb in and compare them to the ones on the replacement bulb rack. Move the green condom from the old one to the new one and you're set.

May want to consider investing on a multimeter. This way you can check the voltage in the circuit when your lights are on (make sure you're getting a signal). And also check for continuity in the bulb. This will verify if the bulb is good or not.
