OK, So I finally got around to replacing my water pump, (72,000 mi)I just pulled the old pump off, and got a surprise:

The impellor is in perfect condition. It looks like new. I have the updated tan plastic model, not the really bad black one.
It even turns easier than the new metal GMB I bought.

So, should I put it back on and return the new pump? Or are there issues with possible micro cracks I can't see, seals that might be ready to go, worn bearings, etc.

I'll wait an hour or so before I reassemble to see if anyone responds to this.

Opinions please!
