Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums General Troubleshooting possible clogged evaporator hose? unclog it?

Hello,
today my car (96 contour 2.5 SE) would not become defogged and the heater fan is no longer pushing air execept on high and barely. and tonight we notice that water(does not smell like coolent and is dirty) is in the foot well on the passenger side so I ripped the carpet cover away and seen that from the heater fan mucky water is coming out so I twisted the fan off and water was also in the duct.
I done a search for the causes and one, was a clogged evap drain hose, but I could not find any instructions to go about unclogging it.
Any help would be appreciated this is the frist day that this has happened, and going down the highway not being able to see out any of the windows is fun

Thanks for the reply, I tested the fan today and it works fine. it only needed dried out, it changes speeds fine, the water that got in it probably shorted it out temporarly. now I just need to find the cause of the water infiltation
