Hi folks - Great site here. My turn signals dont turn off after a turn (I have to do it manually). How tough is it to fix this. I know its just a piece of plastic on the steering colume. So how bout' it guys

The canceling mechanism is built into the switch. You will probably need to replace the switch. It is reasonably easy to replace. Remove the covers just below the steering wheel, disconnect the wiring connectors, and look for the quick release that allows the entire switch to slide off.

I agree a new switch is in order, and its childs play to change. its easier to get the switch off if both the steering wheel's plastic covers are off but I took the switch off with just the top cover removed.
I suggest you trudge around your local salvage yard for contours, we got a replacement switch in perfect condition execpt for the white paint faded, its worked perfectly we got it for $10 And i bet you could get it for less if you tried and i had it on my tour in about 20 sec's once i had the cover off . the Salvage yard should let you try it out to see if it works ok.. I was tempted to buy the three we grab just encase it broke again.
its also a great place to pick up some other things from the wrecked contours.
