Hello again,
I did a few search's and looked around a bit and couldn't find an answer. I recently bought a 98 Contour SE Sport and it had the factory deck in. I have an existing deck from my pervious car (Kenwood MP3) that I want to install but I don't know how to take the factory deck out. I don't have keys and I noticed this deck has 4 small holes (2 on either side) and I think that is where the keys go to remove it but I'm not 100% sure.I was thinking that that was just a a faceplate cover.

Does someone have any tips or tricks on how to get the factory deck out of the Contour?

You're a life saver!

Make it easy for yourself and go to Wall*Mart. There they have what is called a DIN radio removal tool. I think it was 5 bucks or so. All you do is take the two tools, put them in the holes, bend out slightly and pull. Thats it

I have tried all that, but the radio is still not coming out... Not as simple as to what most people think it is

Actually it is. Insert tools, push tool ends away from radio, then pull to remove the radio.

It's probably the easiest thing I've ever done car audio wise.
