Okay, long story short, my car got sideswiped...by a telephone pole. There were huge gashes on the drivers door and the mirror shattered. I replaced both for $150. However, now, whenever I turn left, it trys to correct faster than normal, but, when I turn right, it feels like the tire is flat, it doesn't correct, and there's a humming noise. The only thing I can think of is when the accident happened, the wheels were turned almost all the way to the right and when it happened, the pole hit the tire and threw something out of balance. My dad suggests that it's the strut or front axle or possbily even a bent rim. Any suggestions?

It was my brother driving the car, BTW.

The alignment was probably thrown off by the "jar" of the accident. Take it to an alignment shop and have them do at least a front end alignment. If its been a while since you've had it done, go ahead and get a 4 wheel alignment(recommended). Hopefully a simple alignment will fix your problem. If, however; the problem is deeper, a good alignment shop should be able to tell you what is wrong...ie..bent tie rod, bent control arm, etc., and then you can go from there. Good luck with that, and get it to the alignment shop asap, you don't want to churn your tires to peices!!!!!

As CSVT99 said, there are a lot of things you could have damaged. The fact that it is humming suggests a wheel bearing problem.
