Kumho ASX. $90 each for 225.40.17's. They have a 420 tread wear rating, too, so you'll have 'em forever.

good tires, and cheap. i havent found the cornering limits with these tires yet, but i have pushed them fairly far. they are quiet, great wet handling, and good snow handling as well. i seriously doubt you would be disappointed with these.
search this forum for some more in- depth reviews. there are tons out there for this tire and others.

I have the Contiextremes also. So far so good. Haven't noticed any problems with handling, etc. so far.

No, the contis don't have a problem with handling, except they're not as good in dry conditions as a summer performance tire. But they last longer and are great in wet, so it's a pretty good choice, even if you do miss out on an extra 5mph around an exit ramp.

never tried on svt but a frined of mine runs Sumitomo HTR+ on his maxima 225/50/16 and loves them. his max is supercharged so traction is an issue and he likes them
tirerack actually has them on special right now
