Can I use a computer fan to cool an amp or do they run off a different type of current?

I am doing an amp rack enclosed in Plexi, so there is no way for my amps to get cooled. I went to Lowe's and picked up fans there I got 4 of them for like $40. They work great so far so good. Hope this helps.

I cut a small hole on the back of the amp and used a computer fan to cool it.It only cost me 1.50 for a small fan from www.partsexpress.com item 259-130 or you can use 259-128. Hope this helps.

Johny - As long as it's a 12v DC fan you can use it.

Do you have any pictures of your setup?

It is getting done next saturday, i feel like such a lazy piece of crap on here most of you people do everything yourselves, I am having a local audio place do it for me. As soon as i can i will take pics for you guys.
