Yes it was a good game, but the power play isn't your biggest problem.
The Kipper is! This guy knows how to cut the angles.
Tip of the cap to the Flames, they sacked up and pulled the game out. If the powerplay doesn't get going, this series is going to be "interesting" :help:
I don't know about you, but after the Nashville series, I was hoping for a very uninteresting series! My nerves can't take this!!!

Much respect on both sides of the Flames Wings series. Wings are the best team you can buy - Flames are hungry and gritty enough to be dangerous, (one Detroit columnist called them the team everyone was afraid to play during playoffs), have the best coach in the league - and then there's Kipper.

Playoffs aren't about pretty hockey - all that matters is goaltending and fighting for every corner, every loose puck, every turnover.

Flames in 7(maybe 6).

Our local sports radio station here in Detroit (AM1130 The Fan) has a saying and sound byte for that, its called the "old bit siren" and its ringing very loud right now. I wish I had a quarter for everytime I've heard that. The core of the team is still here and the additions we've made at the trading deadline doesn't always work, i.e. 99/00/01 for instance. I don't know why theres so many haters out there for someone who makes such a commitment to winning and bringing the fans a winner. Congrats hangin' with the Wings for the first period yesterday Flames and I now look forward to seeing/hearing "real" hockey fans Tuesday night. Thank God we get CBC or "TBC" (Toronto Maple Leafs Broadcasting Company) here in Detroit. I watched the game on CBC/TBC yesterday instead of our own ABC. I bet the fans will be in their seats on time, not getting up early and arriving back late and I KNOW they will be LOUD! What a concept, cheer and make as much noise for your team to pump them up, try that sometime Wings fan Hockeytown, yeah right Oh and BTW, GO WINGS!

winning is about team chemestry, just look at the rangers....(the highest paid team). Just look at how well they have done the last few years. They tried to take a page out of the Yankee's book. In baseball offense is all on the individual, not the team. It doesnt work that way in hockey. Detroit is smart in building a team.

I agree Roger; ABC hockey is terrible. When the Wings games are only covered on ABC I'll mute the TV and flip the radio on instead of listening to their clueless announcers.

Right and they always talk about stupid stuff nobody cares about. Just shut up and call the game. And they are always jumping on and off the bandwagon.

Its not that we played bad yesterday, well other than THREE penalties in row , its just that the Flames played better. I mean just when we'd tie the game they came right back to take the lead. That really take the wind out your sails for sure. I stayed up for the whole game and I'm tired, so let me just say this to the Flames fan, good game last night

Terry Crisp is the man. The Lightning's first coach. I have a Tampa jersey autographed by him and some other players. He's very nice to talk to in person.
