I need some opinions!
My car has been moosing all winter long and I plan on replacing the IAC. I have an ESP that should cover everything minus the $50ded so I figured I might as well bring it to the dealer and let them do it. Especially since from what I have read from other posts the generic napa IAC costs over $50!
I went to the dealer explained the problem and what needs to be replaced, I even had the TSB #. I also get a rental with the ESP, BUT they cant give it to me until a mechanic officially diagnosis the problem and they confirm its covered under the warranty. But who knows when that could be because as you guys probably know, the moosing is unpredictable and the chances of it doing it when a mechanic is around are extremely slim! Basically this is going to turn into a huge project!!!
I just feel like what is the point of the warranty when I cant get something like this fixed with out a major hasssell. And since it is expiring in a few months I want to make sure I take advantage of the ESP while I can!
So what should I do, just screw the warranty and do it myself or go with the dealer?
Thanks for your help!!!

Well, if the dealer has it, or will, let them see what they can first. Might also have them search for anything else they can fix while they're at it. They get paid either way.
