Here's the problem. Sunroof motor stopped working. Took it apart, gears and everything are fine. Manually closed sunroof so it was closed. Problem is, when it stopped working, i could press the button and there would be drag on the electrical system. Meaning it had power to the switch. When i re-installed the motor, all wires are attached, my DVM says i have power to the switch, but there is no drag on the electrical system now. Is there a fuse location for the sunroof? My manual has no description for a fuse. Where would it be located? I know where the fuse box is under the dash so thats not a problem. Any help here would greatly be appreciated. On one of my search inquiries, i found 1 reply where they said it was the #16 fuse, but that is for the ignition, not the sunroof. I have a 1998 CSVT, please help me fix this small problem. Thanks.

All I can do is give you my two cents but when I use the sunroof AND the power windows, they tend to bog and move slower because they're in the same electrical line. Not saying that is your motor problem, but it May be related to which fuse you look at. I mean, for my SE the power windows are Fuse #21 but it's probably different on the SVT's

Thought I could help somehow

Well, my power windows are working fine. Yes, like the windows, the sunroof would bog the electrical system down a little when i'd open it. With the sunroof not working and pressure applied to the switch, i get nothing. Even though the sunroof is not working, it should still bog the electrical sytem a little, because there is power to the switch, but not at the motor. Leading me to believe 1 of 2 options. Either the motor is totally burnt up or i have a blown fuse. I need to know the fuse for the sunroof. I can't figure out which one it is, assuming there is a fuse for the power sunroof.

Looking further into this, i notice the schematics show that the violet and blue wires, controlling power to the sunroof, are tied in with the PW's. Thus, fuse 21 controls both. So if that fuse was bad, the windows and sunroof wouldn't work. So assuming that, the fuse is not my problem. Hmm, what now? Could the sunroof unit be burnt up? I've looked at the article in FAQ and how to, but leads me to no help. Any suggestions?

Next question will be, what year cars are compatible with mine? Meaning, can i use a motor out of a mystique/contour SE? If i'm correct, 95-2000 are all the same right? I know where to get the motor, but i'm not clear on what years i can pull one out of. Again, your help would greatly be appreciated.
