Hi Guys. I am looking for some advice. I just replaced the lower ball joints on both sides over the weekend, and was wondering if an alignment is now required?

The reason I ask is because ever since I put them on I am getting vibration while driving. It gets worse with speed. My wheel bearings are OK and I only have about 5,000 miles on my tires. The old ball joints were really bad upon inspection. I wanted to replace them with OEM parts, but the dealer didn't have them in stock. I only had limited time to do the job, so I got the Perfect Circle brand from Pep Boys. I am going to try rotating the tires to see if that stops the vibration.

Any ideas are much apperciated.

Thanks.

Any time you replace significant suspension part you should do an alignment.

Alignment is not likely to contribute to vibtration though, at least not until the alignment problem has caused the tires to wear eratically.
