CobraII351 check to see if the lights come on when you start the car, this will be a self check

the abs light will only come on if there is a fault in the system

the tc light will turn on when the system has been turned off, if there is a fault in the system, or when the system is working

also are you sure the it is the tc that is kicking in? you will know that the tc is working because at low speeds the gas pedal will kick back against your foot and at high speeds the abs will control traction

No, I get no TC light or ABS light at start-up. It was my understanding that the TC worked the brakes as well as the gas pedal at low speeds. And the throttle at higher speeds. I am probably wrong with that though. But I can hear and feel the ABS modulate when I am trying to pull out when it does what I described. And yes the gas and brake both push toward you when this happens.

If neither light comes on at startup, they may both be burnt out. They were probably on for so long that they've burned out. May want to check on that.

Well the "No Light" mystery is solved. The Used car lot or one of the PO's bent the contact tabs in on botht he TC ands ABS warning lights. They now both work, SOLID all the time. Are there any good online ABS troubleshooting guides? Is there a way to pull the ABS codes. This car has a 3 mo 4500 mile 90% covered warranty. This will be fixed.

I have/had a similar problem with my car....it's worse in the winter or a heavy rainfall. I would hit a certain speed, usually >80km/hr and both the ABS and TC light would come on. I would shut car of and no lights until I hit a certain speed again. What I did was take a multimeter and hooked it up to my sensors. I then drove the car and read the AC volts the sensor was picking up. It turned out one of my rear sensors was getting a higher number than the other and I figure I have either a faulty sensor or exciter ring on this side. The light's gone away now so I am not too concerned.
