Hi,
I'd like to do a powertrain alignment and I found that I need a special "Powertrain Alignment Gauge T94P-6000-AH".
Do you know where I could buy/rent it ? I've asked the dealer, they don't sell it. They said something about "Snap-on truck(???)" if I understood it right, I have no idea what that is.
Thanks, Tiv

OTC (used to be Rotunda) is the only place you can buy that tool.
Though expect to pay through the NOSE!!!
Your best bet is to find a CDW-27 or MTX75/CD4E essential tool kit on E-Bay. It may be a little more but you get a ton a tools for our platform.

Are you talking about the device that aligns the motor mounts / tranny mounts? If so, if you have a welder and drill, you can make one fairly easily. I built one a couple of years ago. Essentially all it is, is a chunk of steel tubing with a flange and a couple of holes drilled in it.
Somewhere in the archives is a post that describes exactly how big, how wide, where to drill the holes, and what size holes. I found the details on here when I built mine. The post will be about two years or so ago.

Thanks for the replies. Demon: yeah, I got some idea about pricing when I looked up some online places for OTC tools. One was selling a Zetec camshaft alignment tool for $81 It is actually a piece of common angle iron you can get at any hw shop for $1.50 Bentleywarren: I did a lots of search, it looks like older posts are not in the archive. There are posts I do remember from 1-2yrs ago and search doesn't bring them up. Anyway, I don't really have access to welder and such. Tiv

For the tool or one of "said" kits???
If you mean for the tool then that is not
If you mean a whole kit then it certainly is extremely

I would ike to get the measurements if possible... I do have the ability to make aset & would like to have them "at the ready" so to speak... If someone has the measurements or would be kind enough to measure "your tool" (pun also intended) and post, I would appreciate it.
