I noticed my car was accelerating very slowly on my way home from school after i had turned over-drive off. Afterwards, my car would not reach 45 in third gear and was struggling to maintain a constant speed. It's a 1998 GL and have had no problems like this before. Oh, and the CEL came on as i pulled into my driveway. Does anyone know what the cause may be?

By the way, i turned the OD back on after coming over that hill so it's not that.

get the code pulled at autozone for the cel and that will tell you what it is

but at 80k I would at least change the plugs, fuel filter, air cleaner, all that basic stuff and that might help depending on what the code is

Ok, so I took it out to get the codes pulled and not even a mile from my house, the car stalls. Luckily, there was a general store right there so I was able to pull into the parking lot. After several minutes of attempting to start the car, I just gave up. The battery cranks but the engine doesn't start. My dad and myself thought It might be a fuel pump problem. Can anyone help?
