... anyone else have the luxury of viewing these rare vehicles? Neil, where are you?
I first heard it (custom exhaust allowed me to notice it was a five-speed), then turned and saw it on the campus quad parking lot. Leather seats confirmed and I then viewed the tiny rear badging as it went by. It is evidently student owned so I'll probably be seeing it more often if I look hard enough. So amusing, a vehicle so much more rare (and better in many respects considering the year) than even the CSVT and yet completely and entirely underappreciated by those who don't know it. TOTALLY a sleeper car. If parts weren't so hard to find I would consider one myself.

About a year back I "drove with spirit" up a hill side by side with a Galant VR4. I owned him on the curves, but as soon as it straightened out, he pulled on me. Neat cars, though!

I see them ALL the time. But maybe thats because my brother inlaw owns a DSM performance shop... We have owned 2 in my family, and actually one was mine, but i gave it up for the reliability of the contour. I drove my bro in laws a few times when he had it running 12's. an amazing car. and with a set of coil overs, the AWD and AW steering will kill my SVT on konis and eibachs. basically any that are left have been swept up by the DSM guys and eventually end up at my bro's shop which is my shop too. I actually have one sceduled for graphics next month.

I'll keep an eye out for it. I've never seen one either.

It was a very dark color. Dark blue, green, black, brown, I don't remember (hard to tell when it's cloudy) plus I was unfortunately not paying attention to that aspect at the time. Black interior. Honestly, the telltale sign for that particular car is the loud muffler. When I saw leather interior, I knew for certain it was a VR4 as no Galant of the era had leather.
