I just bought an old Alpine deck from a local pawn shop.
The sound is truly quality, but the radio reception is really second rate.
Does anyone know of an effective way to boost the radio or antenna's reception?

Is there something that I can pick up at an electronics store that may help?

there are signal boosters that you attach to the antenna lead at the back of the HU. You also need to run it a 12 volt circuit. I'm sure they work to some degree, but it won't make a HUGE difference.

Check your local radio shack for one of these -- $30??

Thanks, Jazzman,
I came across one for $15 somewhere on the net, but I lost the location. Maybe I'll get it there... if I can find it again.

Looks good, pimp!!
I am hoping to not replace my OEM antenna though.
Your car looks good though!! What did you do with the whole in your rear 1/4 panel from the original antenna?

Pimpizims,
What is the power of the stock antenna?
What HU are you using? And the rest of your system??

I would really be interested in seeing some of your friend's work.
I am in Olympia, Washington, so a drive to Portland wouldn't be out of the question.
I haven't decided on if I want any changes done to my SVT yet, but I will probably remove the badging and get rid of a few door dings and scratches in the underbody of the ground effects.
Who's your friend?
