I want to install two amps with a 1 farad cap in my 'Tour. Do I hook the cap up to the main power line going to both the amps, or just to the sub amp wire?

you can run it to both if you want but usually it is connected in line w/ sub amps because they make more power and typically draw more current. make sure not to put a fuse between the amp and the capacitor.
