I would definately buy another. All I could afford at the time was my little Zetec, but I have had NO problems whatsoever. No rattles, noises, of mechanical failures of any kind (knocks on wood). But if I bought another, it would be an SVT. Gotta have more power. At the very least, an MTX Duratec.

YES and it would still of been a MTX Zetec too. I have Zero engine problems even with me beating on it daily. and it beats driving a ATX anything.

I am looking to buy another 5-speed zetec. The cool thing is almost no one else wants the 5 speeds.
...of course I bought my first one used so did not have to suffer with the massive depreciation...that might affect the attitude toward the car. So for me it is a very nice handling cheap car with an excellent 4 cylinder engine. The only time I feel a little short of power is starting up with the a/c on.

Like the other ATX guys, I wouldn't have gotten my exact car, it would be an MTX (doesn't matter what engine, they all can be turboed now ). But hey, now that I do have my car, I love it anyway, even with it's ATX.

Would not have bought my used 96 GL Zetec - would have bought a Duratec Tour to begin with. Finally ended up buying a new 97 GL Duratec - got a great deal on it - drove it to almost 70,000 miles with just battery replacement and four wheel alingment outside of basic maintenance. Really regret parting with it!

I don't regret buying mine...it's been a pretty good car and I love driving it. Next time around I am going to look for something with a bit more interior room. Maybe a Taurus.
