OP Stebo_dup1 CEG\'er S Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 53 Southeastern Michigan	I have a 98.5 SVT with 30K miles on it. I did a search regarding the water pump issue, but did not get the exact answer I was looking for. My question is, does my car have the pump with the plastic or metal impeller? I read one post where somebody with a 98.5 had a metal impeller. Was the plastic impeller on the E0's only? If I do have the plastic impeller, should I begin to think about replacing it? svtsoboss CEG\'er S Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 260	The OEM is Plastic and the Metal impeller is avaiable. Aftermarket I cant remember the link.. I think my water pump gave out at 55-60 Thousand. Its been a while. I think it was SHO Shop that offered it.. cant remember, but I'll look it up again..

So you have lots of time yet, and at the rate your going with miles on your car you may not need one for a while. The one you want to get to replace this one is the one with the metal impellear is at NAPA that is the best one there is.
