http://www.clifford.com/matrix/responder/default.aspI can get it for $120 plus $50 for the install through work(Best Buy). People have been walking on my car(I see K-Swiss shoe prints in the dust all over my car), some has broken my window for no reason, and someone left a dent in my door all within the last 72 hours. So what do you guys think of this one? I am thinking about the 2.5x as I don't need a remote start.

If youâ??re parking in an area where people vandalize your car, I doubt an alarm system is going to help you much. Yeah, it might prevent the theft of your car itself. But vandals and pranksters love to set off car alarms just for the hell of it. About the only thing I could suggest is parking in a different (safer) area. Or you could put a motion detecting video camera inside the car and see if you get anyone caught on film (problem is, when they see the camera, theyâ??ve got reason to bust your window).

Well this sytem has a motion sensor and tells you when someone is on or in your car. Its not just an alarm, the remote tells you whats going on with your car. Plus I can not park in a better place, this is happening under my build in white bread Oak Park Illinois. It's not a bad part of town, so it's just a bunch of kids, but it's really bothering me. And I can not think of anything else to do.

Try video surveillance, or hide in the car and catch'em first hand.

Hehe sorry but we don't have those in the store, so I need to get the GM to sign a sheet to have it ordered. So I would get into trouble. But I could see if I can do something when I quit in August, PM to remind me if you still want it then.
As for the camera I don't have the time to look through tape, nor do I have the means to set up a video system. There are only three places I part the car, at home under my building(outdoors), at school, and at work. Now the people walking on my car and breaking my window has happened at place other then school. So I am thinking someone at work or at home. But the window was broken at home, so I figure if I see the system is active I can catch them. Anyone have a cheap way to set up a camera?

Many camcorders have a time lapse mode where they'll record a bit every couple seconds and so can get hours of video on a 30 minute tape. Mine is 7 years old and was a mid-level model when I got it, and it has that feature. Set it up on a tripod where it's indoors and protected and can see the car. Then when you're watching the tape back after you find fresh footprints you can fast forward through it to see who the bastard is...
I'd also recommend either leaving a light on where the car is parked at home or getting a motion sensor light to cover that area. Most delinquents don't like light. There's motion sensors that screw into regular bulb sockets for cheap.
You could also just put a sign on the windshield and back window saying "this car under video surveilance" - might be enough to keep the jackasses at bay.
Good luck.
