For anyone looking for replacement leather interior or to reapolster their cloth seats with leather, here's a kit for a Mercury Mystique on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33702&item=2467999398I noticed that recently while surfing. If I hadn't already sold my car, I'd get this in a heart beat. Don't know if this goes here or Common Interests.. cheers, Tim

I have one of their kits, the leather and stitching are quality.
Hopefully, I'll finish the conversion soon and then I can comment on the fit.

They've had that same kit on & off over the past year...I'd like tan too... The price has come down on it tho...I re-covered seats in my old s-15(buckets) & it wasn't that bad of a job, my hands were killing me from the damn hog-ring pliers(cheap-o pliers)

I don't think there's any stitching. On Horsepower TV they put new leather in a Mustang. You have to remove the seats (naturally) and the actual skins are just clipped on, zippered in other areas, and sometimes stapled (all underneath) The foam underneath needs to be treated gingerly, and some may come off as the leather is glued to it.
With plenty of paitence, kneeding & some work the old skins come off. It's just reverse for the new ones.
I didn't see any Contour seats, I wonder if the Mystique seat is the same...

I saw that on Horsepower TV too! Found the company that they used Katzkinz I beleive. They make kits for the Contour that are reasonably priced with many different color options. Heres a link. http://www.autoleathers.com/HTML2/AL.MAIN.FS.html

There's no stitching...just rip off the old(cut all the old hog rings) & slip over the new, attaching w/ hog rings as you go...its not a bad job, you have to have patience.
I was gonna get the katzkin kit for mine unitl I decided to keep the civic...don't want to put too much $$ into a car w/ a salvage title (contour)
