so i was at the junkyard on saturday when i spoted a fully loaded 96 Contour SE. The leather seats were perfect so i decided to get them. I talked the guy there down to 100 for all of them, any ways here are some pics. from this to this these seats are soo much more sporty and comfortable than my old ones and the power drivers seat is great. It even has lumbar support which i didnt notice untill i had them in for a few days. I also had got this engine plaque for free from the same car. oh yea and tommarow im going back for the arm rest and the hardware for the folding seat. i may also get the door panels to match

When I am able to that will be one of my first mods. Those seats look sooooo much more supportive than the current 98 SE seats.
Finally I get to see how it'd look with cloth doors, though, and I think I'll be wanting the vinyl doors to complete the look.

Just a thought but, if you still have some cash, one of these days go back to the junkyard, and if that car is still there, take of all the door panels, if they fit. if they do, there pretty freakin easy to take apart. There are like 5 screws on the whole thing. and just to let you know, before you start trying to yank it off, there is a hidden screw behind the door handle. Just helpin a feller out.

Good work. That was an awesome upgrade. Glad to see you get such a pos effect for $100.

Looks great. I love my SE seats and have wanted to do the same thing for some time. I to wanted to see how it looked with the fabric inlay doors. I think I would want to get the inserts for the doors too. Would make the seat look more stock. Good choice to swap the console too given the whole arm rest issue.
