I am getting ready to swap my old motor with a new one from a 2.5 cougar. I am wanting to port my intake but a friend told me I might want to have it estrusion honed due to the shape of the thing. Does anyone know who is doing it or any info to set me on the right track?


95 V6 5SPD. Shaved bumpers,antenna,trunk lock and 1/4 extensions MIDNIGHT RED.

that would be extrude honed, no you cant port the duratec UIM very well, extrude honing would work better, link is under links section, might be cheaper to just buy a Dual honed SVT version instead of paying to extrude hone a stock one

or, if you searched, you would've learned that for a 2-week turnaround, you can pay $485 and have them FULLY EH the UIM to it's max.

I wish I had known that at the beginning, because I BOUGHT a DH UIM and THEN sent it for more EHing. . .

Thats kool. Problem is I am dealing with a obd1 and want to have the intake ready for when the motor gets here. I dont know if the intakes are diff from svt or obd2 motors..but I just want to try something to get some ponies without going internal.

OBD1 and OBD2 have nothing to do with intake manifolds, if you need your current one, then i recomennd buying another to have EH easy place to find them www.car-part.com
