Sorry to do this to you guys, because I know how many people ask this question. I bought my car about 3-4 mos ago from another owner, so I'm not aware if this alarm/keyless entry thing is stock or not. The remote given to me was broken, So i purchased another remote. RPN: 492T to be exact. Not sure which company, as my dad neglected to tell me, but they assure me that it will work on my car. Anywho, In the directions it says to "locate the valet/program button under the driver side dash/kickpanel." As I am not very good with electrical and basically everything on a car as of now, i can't seem to locate it. Can someone enlighten me or perhaps give me a more detailed set of instructions?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The Newbies usually go straight to the how-to section here: how-to program a remote
This applies to OEM keyless entry system only, not dealer installed nor aftermarket alarm systems. OEM remotes have FCC ID GQ43VT4T on the back.

I know, but that didn't pertain to the remote system i was inquiring about. Hence the help-wanted post.

Best you determine mfr and model of your system, should be on main control box.
I'll also move this thread to audio mod Forum where the aftermarket crowd hangs out.

In all fairness, you DID state that you weren't sure if the keyless entry was factory or not...
Valet buttons do not exist, TMK, on the factory keyless fob/system. If your remote only contains instructions to program in that manner, I would venture to assume it wasn't for the stock system..
(whether or not you DO have a stock system is still undetermined, though...)
