I am a woman and I can get the spare back in the correct way, it's not that hard to do.
Sorry, don't have pics, maybe I will get my digital camera out tomorrow and take a pic when I get batteries.

wow, every time i put my spare tire into the trunk, i never had much trouble, but i never did it right according to taht picture. i guess i will go out now and fix that, cause i noticed a little rattleing in the back as well, but i never figured it would be my spare, cause i had that thing in pretty tight.

I have a nice little baggie that my jack goes in..and that fits on the side of the tire.....

Thank god I am not the only one with this annoying problem. The engineers at Ford f'ed up this one.

Well, I mount mine no problem now, but use the right bolt hole for the jack and the left bolt hole for the tire. It centers the tire in the opening a little better (not how yours is to the right a bit). You do have to put the jack at an angle though.
