Well I am running out of time and the most important thing money!! I have 7" Vifa mids and also Vifa tweets, I was wondering how well they will sound running off a JBL P80.4 amp? I planned on getting a PPI FRX456 XOver but I have just run out of money. I still need to purchase the amp so I just want to know if its the right way to go, since I have them already mostly installed!!
Thanks,
-Matt

That amp should have a active cross over. 1 channel can run your tweets and say teh 4th can run your mids. And just set each up to not play higher / lower then a certain frequency and they will be fine. If it doesnt have settings for 2 seperate setups, i still think it will play fine but you will get treble out of your mids, and "noise" out of your tweets.

You need get the 456, A VERY NICE CX by the way, or passives.

The Amp is not good for CX point you need.

Depending on which Vifa's you have, you will want a 2500 Hz to 3500 Hz CX point. Some Vifa's peak and roll off above 2500 Hz.

Still Most tweeters can't play below 2500 Hz.

The amp CX is not going to give you such CX points.

Pick up a used Audiocontrol 2XS off of ebay (usually around $30-50) and buy or make a module to split the frequency at 2500Hz. Run the tweets off the fronts and mids off the rears, should sound fantastic.

BTW, this is the setup I've got. Vifa 7" PL's for the mids and Vifa Neo tweets driven by a 4ch Lanzar amp (90x4) using an active crossover (Audiocontrol 2XS).

Although the 2XS is sitting in the closet right now, as I'm just using some passive crossovers right now until I install the new sub amp (which is also sitting in the closet). Too much stuff in the closet and not in the cars.

What you intend to get is exactly my set up. I have 7" Vifa mids and Vifa tweets powered by a JBL P80.4. I went with a custom passive crosover from Madisound and IMHO it sounds incredible. Pm me if you want more details.
