Thanks for your responses and pity. I found the problem with the box. The subs are sealed in behind a window. I wish I could show pics so you could see it. The subs are facing different directions. You can see the front of one and the back of the other (the clarions have nice looking rear ends) I have vents for the fronts of each sub and the rear parts are sealed airtight. The droning was occuring because I forgot to tighten the glass on the right side of the box. The glass is 1/4" thick with a stainless surround. I decided to use real glass instead of plexiglass since I always crack that crap when I cut it. Besides, my uncle has a truckload of glass panes. Anyways, the glass was vibrating with the sub, which was what the droning sound was. I was just really tired and didn't think to check the glass. Once again, thanks for your help!

That is sheer unadulterated nonsense.
Bass enclosure dimensions/volume are
critical. Why do you think T/S data
and calculations exist for designing bass
enclosures.

Peter.

What i meant to say was that the ratio of the dimensions, lxwxh are pretty meaningless for a subwoofer. The golden ratio does not apply. I apologize for not making that clear.
