While changing my air filter I noticed that the sleeve between the air filter intake housing and the air tube in the fender is missing.

What is the part number?

Where can I buy one?

What are the ill effects of not having one?

Andy

Does this mean that sucking in the air from the engine compartment is OK vs where ever the intake normally comes from.

Thats where most aftermarket intakes draw air from

Although getting the cooler air from outside the car is better. I honestly never noticed the difference, unless it was really hot outside.

Does anyone have a part number?

I can't seem to find the number on any of the Ford Parts online sites.

Thanks,
Andy
