Well I would not EVER justify spending $1500-$2000 on computer just for a new game. If you want to get into the gaming market I would suggest a console. They are much cheaper and you have a better selection of games IMHO.
I never play consoles. IMO Gaming on the computer is much easier , and the addition of fun internet gaming is all I need. I love internet gaming against smart and varied opponents. Add to that the opportunity to depend on yourself and not the console how well the game runs , or what else you want to do with the game ect ect.
I understand where you coming from but with the PS2 network adaptor and XBOX live. The line is being blurred. Lets leave the PC debate OUT of this thread.

I've started re-playing it over the past 6 weeks or so. Not very good (at any game really), but I have fun

BFV looks pretty cool. Shame EA isn't releasing a demo; I'd like to try it out before shelling out money. The punji sticks and log rolls sound especially wicked.
Will probably obtain it somehow to try out, then buy it if I like it. Last game I bought without trying was WWII Online and it absolutely sucked. And you could only play that online and had to pay monthly.. so I was just out the $50. Don't want to get ripped off again.
