Me and my boy are thinking of going to a track purely for FUN. I got a 98 se and he got a 2002 Jetta, i both stock, i know it is not a THRILLER but who would win i know the jetta is a litter heavier and he s v4 as oppose to my V6

I honestly think it will be a close race ( although you should definitely win), my buddy ran his atx mystique and ran a best of 16.7 in the 1/4. that was with the 2.5 duratec. I also knew someone who ran a 1999 jetta gls 2.0 115 horse which i am assuming your friend has, and he ran 16.9. so with the .2 of tenth.. it might come down to who has the better launch although you will definitely eat him alive on top end given the bigger displacement. However, if your buddy has the 1.8t i would have to say your done. and if you do beat him tell him to take it to revo for a stage 2 upgrade, and he won't lose to many cars after that....just my opinion

I beat a 5-speed Jetta at the 1/8th track last summer; before some lil mods. His car made a lot of noise, but it was a real close race. IIRC, I only won because of the better launch.
