OP MarcRJ New CEG\'er M Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 16 Dearborn, MI, USA	Hi everyone, I have a question regarding my 1998 Contour SE Sport (purchased used from a dealer). It has the 2.5L Duratec V6 engine and front disc/rear drum brakes. When I checked out the car online, the 98 Sport supposedly had 4-wheel disc brakes. Do you think the first owner just added the Sport sticker? Also, although the car has the SE badges, according to the VIN, and my insurance company, the car is actually an LX. I'm totally confused as to what kind of Contour I have! Anyone have any ideas on how to find out? The sticker on the inside of the door is a little difficult to read re: manufacturing date, etc. Thanks! Marc '98 Dark Blue Metallic Contour Sport "SE" 2.5L Duratec V6 Automatic

(Ours displays all characteristics of being a '98, for example cloth doors, V6 on a 'regular' SE, and dash clock, but the VIN lists as being a 98.5). ancientsanskrit Hard-core CEG\'er A Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,384 A^2	Don't worry about bro, everything is straight...the lack of rear disc is because you have an auto... the vin number: the 98.5s were labeled with the same code of the lxs. check the vin again, i bet it has P66 within it...(includes 98.5 se's and 95-98lx's)Hope this relieves you a bit... 99 Black Contour SE Sport
