The "old wound," dear Gwenevere...

When I first bought this car, I knew it had transmission troubles. I paid $500 for the title, and almost $3000 for the transmission rebuild, wiring harness, computer, drive shaft (actually just replaced the whole left C/V joint), alarm system, and various other mechanical needs.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the transmission started slipping really bad in cold mornings (when I first started it). It would surge, go into neutral, and then slam back into drive really hard. Well, we go and check on the tranny fluid and find out it's low. We look down at the transaxle, and it's leaking fluid at a rate of 1-2 drops per second! So the day finally arrived that it's time to get rid of the 'stique

But fret not. Today I went and worked a deal on a nice 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I got an extremely good deal and the car only has 26k miles on it!

Check out my new wheels

I finalize all of the paperwork and pick it up from the dealer tomorrow. So at our next meet, I'll be driving some hot new wheels

Tim

Thats very sad. I wonder if your transmission breather hose was clogged up. That could cause it to lose fluid. I remember a TSB about that a while back.
Anyway,enjoy your new ride.

That could be.. ? I'm taking it up to the dealer for trade to see what they'll give me, tomorrow. Either way, I'm sure it's a cheap fix if it's just a problem with a seal; the problem is parts labor, which is the most expensive for consumers. It's got leather and a V6 Duratec, and with only 150k miles on the click it has many more days ahead of it if it's not scraped out

Hopefully it will get a good home!

Tim
