OP i4getlots_dup1 New CEG\'er I Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 13 USA	im looking for a pinion gear for my 96 contour I4. its a standard. i did too many burn outs and finally paid the price. i took some teeth off my ring gear and it chewed up the pinion. im lookin into junkyards ive found a used trany for $200. went to the dealership and said that that gear gear is obsolete. any suggestions im near the boston area. 96 Contour GL I4 hasnt been on the road for a year, tranny problems. nuf said

The shop is owned and run by 1 guy, and he's pretty damn good. You've never seen such a clean shop in your life. Since there is only one guy there, you know he's the one working on your car/tranny. However, if you're looking to keep it economical, this isn't the place for you. He's good, and you pay accordingly. He doesn't rip you off, but he's not cheap either.
