I rebuilt the atx transmission in my 95 ,but it still jumps back in a lower gear with the big bang most of us know about. The tcc or tss was replaced.Could this problem most likely be in the PCM or one of the sensor that feel it?

I read an article on the CD4E in which a tranny shop installed the updated TSS in an older tranny. The crux of the matter is that on the older trannys, the new TSS creats additional slippage problems rather than solving the bang shift. You might want to find a metal housed TSS at a bone yard & install it in your car to see if that's the problem.

If that doesn't do the trick, you might try getting a valve body that has the CD4Ejr shift kit installed.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I think I read that article too. In the back of my mind, I believe excessive endplay could cause this problem. I have purchased a new TSS for my rebuild '95 atx. I compared the two, the older unit has a small metal button on the inside tip. This is a hair closer to the drum assembly than the newer one. Thus this is why I think excessive endplay could be the problem. I purchased a complete new oil pump assembly from Ford that is redesigned so as too eliminate oil pump blowout, etc.
