and the instructions call for tapping the ignition sense line into a likely wire in the car wiring bundle. Can anyone point me to a prime candidate for this signal?

If it is the stock relay ($15), then you open up the auxiliary fuse box under the hood. Remove the big copper bar in it's space, and put the relay in. That is pretty damn simple.

If you have some kind of crazy aftermarket kit, I have no idea (and you should have gotten the Ford part.)

BK4293, well he is "Super Grover" now, gave me one of these DRL relays at our last meet in Huntsville, AL. Just has Hightower said, it just pops right in. Well, the next day I was talking to someone at the meet and we took a look in their auxiliary fuse box under the hood and that space was empty. There was no bar or nothing. Just blank space. By the way, this was on a 99 SE. Just thought I would throw that in as a little FYI for others out there.
